Come enjoy a picnic and blues dancing with friends in the Boston Public Garden!
Bring a blanket, food / food to share, and some friends! Dancing surface will be asphalt or grass (Lagoon Edge near Beacon Street).
**Evening schedule**
8-9pm: Beginner blues dance lesson with Joey Science
9-10:30pm or a little later: Social dancing DJed by Stephen York & Raquel Fioroti (we'll go to at least 10:30pm, depending on everyone's energy, including the DJs)
Picnicking throughout!

Blues dance is a family of Black American social dances (some solo, some partnered) that coevolved with different styles of Blues music throughout history, starting in the late 1800s and extending through today. Blues dance celebrates freedom of expression within community, improvisation, rhythm, and more!

🏳️🌈 🏳️⚧️ This is a queer-friendly event, and everyone can choose the dance role or roles they prefer.
